Preseli Springtime

The first singing chiffchaff was at Llandilo woods this morning, heralding spring here despite the temperature being 4 degrees C with a northerly wind. The local kites, were making the most of the bright, windy days yesterday afternoon with four pairs displaying over traditional nest sites in the area, looking stunning in the sunshine. Magpies, mistle thrushes, carrion crows and blackbirds have all been seen carrying nest material this morning, and nice to hear a dipper in full song.
