Three fieldfares feeding on ivy berries high in an oak tree at Llandilo this morning. Then in drops a stunning male brambling to the same tree calling continuously, as if attracted by the chacking fieldfares. This little reminder of a winter birding scene was set among a more spring-like backdrop of singing blackcaps, chiffchaffs and willow warblers.
