Results of our search for Dartford warblers are quite encouraging so far with probable breeding at 3 known sites (7 prs). However there are still sites where they have bred previously from which no information has been received and I'm particularly concerned about an extensive stretch of the north coast which has been productive in the past and needs checking. Even knowing where a pair is (probably) breeding, I only see them maybe 1 in 4 visits, they can be elusive so 'the more coverage the better' is a truth in this case.
