Martin's Haven Wheatears

The grassy field directly next to the National Trust car park is a wonderful feeding place for Wheatears at present. Mid-afternoon today I counted 9, mainly "European-type", but yesterday evening there were 18, all but one of which appeared to be larger, more colourful "Greenland-types".

Still plenty of Grasshopper Warblers reeling on the Deer Park, and several in the adjoining hedgerows and fields.
