Haven't got the totals for the day yet but there was a substantial arrival overnight, with more than 250
Willow Warbler and smaller numbers of
Blackcap,
Sedge Warbler,
Whitethroat and
Grasshopper Warbler. Also a cracking day for waders with two
Avocet on North Pond (the first Skok record), three
Black-tailed Godwit (including a colour ringed bird),
Bar-tailed Godwit,
Grey Plover, several
Whimbrel (including a colour ringed bird) and
Common Sandpiper. Totals to follow on the Skok blog.
