Teifi news - Ruff

A Ruff has been the highlight of the last few days. Arfon found it opposite St Dogmaels slipway yesterday afternoon. 3 Med Gulls were flying around too. It wasn't there this morning but there was a Common Sandpiper with 8 Redshank and a Greenshank.
3 summer plumage Black-tailed Godwits were on the sandbanks in the estuary on Friday.

On the Teifi Marsh, migrants are arriving with the first Sedge Warbler today and good numbers of Blackcaps and Willow Warblers singing. Sand Martin numbers are very variable as flocks migrate through - over 200 yesterday morning flying over the ponds but none today at the same time.
