Failed to find the Skokholm Bittern on our ponds but a female Ruff, 4 Dunlin and two Whinchat were some consolation.
Lots of common migrants in the gorse and brambles today, highlights included:
2 Common Redstart
2 Spotted Flycatcher
3 Pied Flycatcher
5 Lesser Whitethroat
4 Garden Warbler
Robins feeding young in the valley is a good breeding record for the island and our first family of Ravens are out of the nest (3 fledged from site on east coast.)
