The 1st Goosanders have returned, 3 red-heads and I doubt they are juveniles. We saw a photo yesterday of a Shelduck creche of c20 juveniles of reasonable size on the river at Jewsons. A group of 7 smarter looking Black-headed Gulls tonight, less worn than some of the tatty looking 2nd years that have been around.
