A big thanks to Cliff Benson for his generous and much appreciated posting below. I would like to add that the blog has run successfully for many years thanks also to Richard Dobbins who has helped to run it from very soon after it's launch and to Mike Young-Powell and Brian Southern who joined the blog team in more recent years. The blog of course depends on the contributions from all our regular local birders who post their sightings and those local and visiting birders who e mail in their sightings - many thanks to you all!
P.S. The first posting on the blog was actually on 14 April 2006 as the first couple of years were deleted from the Archive - seemed like a good idea at the time.
