We walked today along the Presellis from Foel Drygarn along to Carn Bica, and then back through Llethr forest. With 3+ inches of snow on the ground there were not even any Meadow Pipits on the hills, just two by the road. Only a single Crossbill call heard, despite extensive searching both at Llethr and in Glynaeron. But we did find multiple small groups of Bullfinches in the younger pines. Probably 15+ in all, and the only finch species in the conifers. And I had seen c.10 at Glynaeron a few weeks ago, during the last snowfall.
