Stackpole and Holyland/Kingsbridge this afternoon

A very brief visit to Stackpole at lunch-time provided quite good views of a pretty normal-looking  chiffchaff as it fed along a hedgerow between the Walled Garden and the Upper Eastern Arm of Bosherston Lake.

A late-afternoon visit to Holyland Wood produced 2 firecrests feeding near the boardwalk during the gloom of late afternoon. They were in more or less in the same location where 3 were seen a few days ago.

There was no sign of a chiffchaff  here today, although not far away from the firecrests a skulking female blackcap briefly came up into the tree canopy. Perhaps she is a regular visitor to the nearby Kingsbridge gardens? A poor record photo was only just about possible at very high ISO - the light was terrible.
