Marloes Mere: herons

4 Herons over Marloes Mere yesterday lunchtime, starting to soar and gain height, before heading (roughly) eastwards. Unusual: can’t remember when I last saw a Heron on the Mere. Later, a singleton over Martin’s Haven.

Also at the Mere, 3+ Reed Buntings singing, and at least 6 Sedge Warblers. All the ducks now seem to be in eclipse plumage.
