Ramsey

4 whooper swans heading noisily east this morning were only the 12th island record and the first since 2016 (presumably those that ended up on Trefeiddan marsh as per the post below by Jon B). Also of note today was the 3rd bullfinch record of the autumn, a decent movement of chaffinch (157 east in 2 hours, although a mainland birder reported at least 1,000 over Caerfai by lunchtime), a ring tail hen harrier, 6 siskin, a reed bunting, 3 redwing, a great spotted woodpecker, a mistle thrush, 5 blackcaps, 2 chiffchaff and 2 red kite
