Out & about Dale & Marloes

Lisa found a Yellow-browed Warbler in the car park at Dale at lunchtime. It was still present late afternoon, though elusive with a large roving flock of tits, which also contained a few Goldcrests, a couple of Chiffchaffs, and a Blackcap.  2 Redwing briefly landed in the trees before heading off south.  Another Yellow-browed Warbler was in the valley to the south of Dale Fort, between Castlebeach and Merryborough Farm.  Our first Fieldfare of the autumn at Dale Fort.

Earlier, a Garganey at Marloes Mere (thanks Brian) which was nicely brought out into the open by a hunting ringtail Hen Harrier.  Also a Short-eared Owl which appeared to land somewhere along the coast towards Martin's Haven.  An impressive number of ducks to be seen here when a raptor puts them up!
