Goodwick Outer Breakwater

Kathy and I joined the Mid Pembs group trip out to the Outer Breakwater this morning, ably led by John Steer. The highlight was the presence of four Purple Sandpipers, along with a couple of Ringed Plovers. Plenty of Guillemots around and a couple of Shags but not much else on the sea. When the Ferry came in it was mobbed by Gulls, as usual, but nothing unusual I could pick out. What surprised me though, was the flock of Cormorants which also descended upon it, there were 50+ joining the Gulls in a feeding frenzy.

Also the shy, nocturnal (not!) Otter was back lumping around our pond at 9:15 this morning - we must be running out of fish by now.
