The Gann on a Spring morning

This was how the Gann should be - a calm sunny morning, loads of birds and no people! About 50 Dunlin and 20 Ringed Plover were scuttling along the tide line in front of the incoming tide, while 3 Whimbrel fed further up the beach and 70 Oystercatchers loafed. On the pools there were 3 Common Sandpipers and the usual Greenshank, with a few Dabchick and still some Teal. On the grass were 2 very approachable feeding Choughs and a couple of Wheatears while the gorse bushes held singing Linnets. A few Curlew flew over but alas no Terns. Still, can't have everything.
