Newport this & that

Shelducks; initially 5 (or 6) pairs, perhaps 2 pairs bred producing 1 brood of 8, now down to 6, but no further losses recently. The none/failed breeders have left leaving just the family.
A Greenshank at the bridge was a bit early. A family of Herons has been there for the last couple of days.
This ?Black Headed Gull on the strandline on the main beach seems to be from a French scheme (well it does have a metal ring from MUS PARIS).

A Garden Warbler has restarted singing on path to the beach, c100m before the white house. (I have seen it - once!)
