Strumble Afternoon.

Calm conditions after a ferry trip and loads of Porpoises pulled me back to Strumble where I met up with an old Strumble aqquaintance; Cliff Watson.
The glassy sea revealed loads of porpoises but a flock of 14 Chough beating around the lighthouse were a welcome sight in view of the recent quite severe weather. It was getting lateish by then and it looked like they were looking for somewhwere to roost. A large female Gos, on the way home just past Tresinwen was another welcome surprise.
I am guessing the Norman McCanch whose gorgeous Gyr illustrations grace the blog is the ex light house keeper who wrote a book of his experiences. I would love to meet up with him, any chance of exchanging contacts Rich? allthingsgood, cliff
