Too many Canada Geese!!

At Marloes Mere today 62 geese with at least five pairs seemingly being territorial but on Midland Island c.40 birds (as on Friday last week) with at least 10 pairs settling down around the east coast of the island and lots of noise from the others. I wonder how many are settling down on Skokholm as there were numbers of birds from Marloes also heading out there.

There were at least 33 Gadwall on Marloes Mere this morning - highest count I have had. Usual other species in smallish numbers - probably two pairs of Little Grebe establishing themeselves.

No sign of any raptors. Deer Park quiet too - still only finding two or three Stonechats around.
