Ringed Plover and the Great Gull Debate

Lovely to hear of the Ringed Plover chicks at Castle Martin from Bob & Annie, I hope they make it this time. One of these at the Gann this lunchtime, along with a Little Egret and around 50 Black-headed Gulls but no Meds.

On the subject of the World's best gull, I haven't seen Great BHG or Swallow-tailed so cannot comment, but I will throw Heerman's Gull into the mix - stunning, and very approachable on the Californian Coast (La Jolla being a personal favourite). For the colour blind, this is pretty much a chunky Med Gull in negative!................... Angle Med Gull in negative courtesy of Photoshop to illustrate the point (Rich C ) !
