Close encounter with Little Gull

The highlight for us during a morning of birding in the St Davids area was a close encounter with a Ist winter Little Gull that popped up from behind a hedgerow on Treleddyn Farm.

For several minutes we were able to enjoy close views of the delightful pelagic as it dip fed off "Water Buffalo field". Each time it completed its up-wind feeding leg it returned to the hedgerow, behind which we sheltered, to resume another circuit.

C160 Lapwing 38 Goldies were also present on the farm.
