I could have done with a Strumble-type shelter on Ramsey Sound this morning. Little to see except for the salt spray, and given the buffeting from the wind, I felt the spray rather than saw it (once it had coated my glasses). Three cormorants in the vicinity of the life-boat station, and the odd herring gull drifting past now and again were the only bird-life. Anything else was either sheltering on the Ramsey side, or lost to view in the swell. Lots of oystercatchers and gulls on the fields at Newgale, and lots of foam out on the sea. Not a nice day for doing anything much outside.
