The colour-ringed Brent at the Gann was ringed on 21 October at Strangford Lough, seen there next day, and then not reported again until it appeared at the Gann on 6 December. Please check all Brents carefully and report any ring details to grahammcelwaine@btinternet.com.
Highlights of a nice walk around Marloes Mere yesterday afternoon were a ringtail Hen Harrier, 30+ Skylarks, 70+ Lapwing, 301 Canada Geese, 40+ Wigeon, 10+ Gadwall, 100+ Teal, 50+ Mallard, 100+ Chaffinch, a Redwing and at least 15 Song Thrush in a single Stubble Field before the Youth Hostel. Also a very noisy female Bullfinch.
