Observations and pictures of Starling roosts entertain us on the blog from time to time. Do we know how much these roosts have changed over time? "The Birds of Pembrokeshire", 1994, listed roosts, catchment areas and flight-lines. Are these elements still the same, particularly regarding the largest roost at Dudwell/Plumstone? The book also mentions a large roost in the plantations of Mynydd Preseli. Is there still a roost there now that many of the trees have been felled? If not where do birds feeding in that area by day go to roost?
The active and alert blog-network might find it interesting to answer these questions.
