Whooper Swans

Reports from local shooters of 5 Whooper Swans that have been flighting into the Dowrog pool most evenings for the last two weeks ive searched the area over the xmas holidays but cant find them during the day.As i approached Penberry Res this afternoon i noticed a lot of duck in the air when i got to the res there were two birders by the gate one was actually standing inside the gate there really is no need to get out out of the car when birding the pool as everything can be seen through the gate as most of the ducks are prone to fly when disturbed.A morning count there included 145 Wigion,12 Shoveler,3 Gadwall 2 Tufted 38 Canada Geese, Mallard, Coot and Moorhen.A ringtail, Merlin and Kestrel were seen on the Dowrog common at lunch time.
