It was a relief to track down the Hoopoe this morning after walking around likely spots for a couple of miles. It was feeding happily on worms on the grassy edges of the path near the bridge over the railway from Kiln Park to the beach.2 Swallows were also flying around the golf course.
From Amroth there were 13 Red-breasted Mergansers, 1 Great crested Grebe, 3 Red-throated divers and a few thousand Scoter well over towards Pendine.
