A wonderfully calm High Tide: the reflections made it surprisingly hard to count roosting birds! The highlights were 120 Curlew, 65+ Oystercatchers and at least a dozen Little Egrets. Also two Greenshank (moulting from summer to winter plumage: rather odd-looking), a Common Sandpiper, 8 Ringed Plover over the bay, and a Wheatear.
Dale Airfield: very quiet, runways are very dry.
