Mid morning at Freshwater West there were 22 Oystercatchers, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Sanderling and 1 Turnstone on the rocks. As the tide dropped 14 Bar Tailed Godwits appeared on the beach and a further 5 Whimbrel flew in. The latter walked up to the back of the beach to feed in the dunes.
