Freshwater West

At Freshwater West this morning 2 Ravens were picking clean this carcase. We couldn't figure out what it was but on closer inspection it was an adult Gannet turned a beige colour by the sand.
On the field behind the car park there were 100 plus waders (Dunlin and Ringed Plover). An unusual place to see them but as the field is covered in sand I wonder if they thought it was part of the beach?
At a windswept Kilpaison midday very quiet with just a dozen or so small waders, again Dunlin and Ringed Plover.
