Up north

A scout around Dinas Mountain for Sunday's Dotterels didn't locate any, but I'd forgotten how amazing the views from the top are, and the purple & yellow of the heather & gorse added to the scene. The area between the pond and the rocks looks superb for Dotterel. On to Newport and the waders scattered across the mud to the east of the boat club included 4 Curlew Sandpiper, 2 Sanderling, 5 Knot, 27 Dunlin & 17 Ringed Plover (along with 3 Pillocks & and 2 Stupid Bird Chasing Dogs). Finally on to Fishguard where a Yellow Wagtail was a nice surprise amongst the Pieds on the beach, also 6 juv > 1stW Med Gulls, 4 Turnstone & 2 Redshank.
