Two Quail definite and possibly a third calling this morning in a corn field just west of the army base at Brawdy. We were close enough to one to hear the throaty secondary note, but failed to get it in the open for a camera shot. There are many corn fields around this whole area, so it's not unreasonable to suggest that there could be a sizable population here, especially in a bumper Quail year like this.
