Yellow Wagtails

Another scout around the Dale/Marloes peninsula this evening. At Marloes Mere the Yellow Wagtail count had reduced to 2. On to St. Ann's Head where I counted at least 6 birds in the last field with the cattle by the lighthouse, 2 of which were noticeably greyer/whiter than the others with a stronger supercilia, wing bars & tertial fringes. Record shots of one of each for comparison. As grey and white as they were, they were clearly Yellow & not Citrine! We must be due one - 2 in Wexford and singles in Merseyside & Scilly in the last few days....

On to Dale Airfield and as good as it looked - plenty of shallow pools on the main runway - not a single wader, unlike Derek earlier.
