Spoonbill, Turtle Dove, Black Redstart, Owls & Harriers

I was at the Gann when Trevor re-found the Spoonbill (a juv), some great views on the Dale foreshore as it slowly worked north and eventually flew across to the Gann just after 12:30 (my 202nd bird of the year in Pembs). Also at the Gann 8 Little Egrets, 26 Redshank & a Wheatear the most noteworthy.

Jonathan Bennett had a Turtle Dove in St. David's today, on the lane that runs parallel to the High Street - more or less behind City Hall. Paul G and I couldn't find it late afternoon, but we did see a first year male Black Redstart there. Porth Clais quiet with just a male Blackcap and a couple of Goldcrests, but the Dowrog proved much better with a male & ringtail Hen Harrier (both of which roosted to the west of the road, unusually) and 3 Short-eared Owls in the same area (to the west of the Dowrog road, approx SM770268).
