Matt Sutton and I managed to watch them fly over us, behind Milton Brewery, heading (as Dave suggests) towards Carew River somewhere beyond the Millpond - they passed over us at about 17:15 hrs. An hour or so earlier there was a nice flock of lapwings in frosty root-crop fields nearer to Cosheston - must have been 500+. Bob H.

Couldn't resist the temptation to witness the amazing fly-over
