The big surprise of a late afternoon walk yesterday from Blackpool Mill to the old church at Slebech was the number of Marsh Tits in the area: at least three separate birds seen and identified by call, and several others heard in the woods.
Other highlights: 5 species of thrush all in the same field, and a nice female Sparrowhawk.
