Started off at Broad Haven and saw the Surf Scoter, c.50 distant Common Scoter, a single Red-throated Diver and, thanks to a call from Dave Astins, a couple of the Purple Sandpipers at roost on the rock. Plenty of Redwings everywhere and a party of eight Fieldfares over Solva.
Six Red-throated Diver's were offshore from Fishguard Fort, and a decent raft of diving birds offshore there too comprising mostly Shags, Cormorants. Razorbills and Guillemots. Sadly, no sign of the Black-throated Diver when I was there.
Ended the day at Dowrog, where a Merlin and two male and two or three ring-tail Hen Harriers came in to the roost, and where a Barn Owl appeared at last light.
