Broad Haven

The female Surf Scoter was still at Broad Haven this morning, towards the north end of the beach, relatively close in (not close enough to digiscope, but much closer than the 50 odd Common Scoter that were visible). On the rocks at the north end of the beach 3 Purple Sandpipers and 7 Turnstone.  The 'Purps' were seen in flight and landed on the 'wrong' side of the first tall rock at that end of the beach, but from the coast path I managed to see one of them roosting on the north side of the rock.  Easily missed.  Also a number of Redwing over and a Fieldfare.
