After the rain had vanished an afternoon walk found ~ 11 Ringed Plover, 10 Dunlin, 1 Bar~tailed Godwit, 1 Knot, 5 Goosanders (4m 1f), 8 Redshank & c60 Curlew.
A couple of years ago outside of my back door under the eaves I attached one of those small wicker roosting pockets, which has never been used until last week. Saturday late afternoon/evening I counted 6 Wrens going into it; Today I counted 10 Wrens going in within a fifteen minute period before I lost visibility. Fantastic, it makes me wonder how many of those tiny birds now roost above my back door during the night.
