Soon after arriving at Stackpole Court early this afternoon a Bittern called and flew up to the reed tops. The other Bittern was lass than 3 metres away also perched well up the reeds. The sun even came out (!) so a nice view for 20 mins or so before they they both went down to ground/water level and completely disappeared from sight.
