Lapland buntings and Jack Snipe - Dale airfield

5 Lapland buntings south-west of the pond - 2 flew up and dropped back, when I went to get a better look 5 got up. There's quite a few skylarks and meadow pipits in the grass and it appears the Laps are favouring same dryish-areas as skylarks. Great-spotted woodpecker drumming in grounds of Dale castle. Female kestrel amd 2 chough at West Dale. c30 ravens by The Hookes pairing up. 2 Peregrines took a swipe through them but were soon chased off. 11 snipe. A Jack snipe got up from right under my feet and dropped back about 20m behind me in the short gorse overlooking Marloes Sands (where the Laps were last seen on Sunday). At the Gann at high tide 4 Mediterranean gulls.
