Radford Pill, a Barn Owl and Red Kite

Last night around 10:15 p.m. a Barn Owl flew over the road between Sageston and St Florence - the first one I have ever seen here.

This morning at Radford Pill bird numbers were considerably down compared to recent weeks - just a few Lapwing, no Golden Plover. Conditions were nice, however, with some sun and no wind. A Cormorant posed right in front of me as it swam past and whilst there weren't a lot of birds there were some choice ones which provided some photographic opportunities - 1 Spotted Redshank (rather distant again),  1 Green Sandpiper (also distant), 4 Black-tailed Godwits, and a dozen or so Common Redshanks. A Little Egret was also present as well as a couple of Curlew and further downstream I could see some Wigeon, Teal and Shelduck.

On the way back home a Red Kite flew low over a field near Sageston hotly pursued by 2 Crows.
