In the late morning a male Hen Harrier passed low over the fields by Rudbaxton Water, heading towards the rubbish tip. Possibly the same bird as seen on and off at nearby Plumstone in recent times.
About half an hour later a female Goshawk used an updraught beyond Rudbaxton Church to soar upwards as did a Buzzard, giving a good view of comparative flight characteristics.
On the way home encountered single Red Kites over Withybush airfield and near Haverfordwest golf course.
A good prelude to satisfactory events in Rome later in the afternoon.
