The drake was still on the northern irrigation pond at dusk today in the company of 9 Tufted Ducks (7 drakes). Plenty of ducks scattered across the mere in small groups - no doubt plenty more not visible. Had a walk on the coast path towards the airfield to check out Brian's mystery pipit, didn't manage views of anything on the ground but a group seen in flight contained a Grey Wag, 3 Pied Wags and 5 pipits.
