Last WeBS count of the winter, and as usual many less birds than recent months. Still reasonable numbers of Teal (295), Redshank (131) & a 200 strong flock of Golden Plover were looking for somewhere to land as the tide covered the mud. 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, a single Black-tailed, and interestingly 9 Greylag Geese in a rough field on the Black Tar side of Sprinkle Pill where I saw them the same time last year....a possible breeding site?
