Turns out the red kite I saw here yesterday is from the Irish re-introduction scheme, tagged as a chick in Wales in 2011. To pin it down to release site the Irish team need to know the letter / number / symbol. I didn't manage to get it but it might still be doing the rounds so if anyone else sees it and gets that info could they please email Liz Snell on e.a.snell@btinternet.com
