Goodwick Moor

Noticed quite a change in the soundscape at Goodwick Moor since I was last there 12 days ago (when highlights were a first swallow and a chiffchaff).  This morning I estimated 9 x sedge warblers, 2 x Cetti's, 1 x grasshopper, 1 x blackcap, and about 6 x willow warblers amongst the various singers.  A chiffchaff was seen feeding on the edge of the reeds but none heard singing this time.  A song thrush near the car park was singing its head off just as it was (presuming the same one, same perch anyway) last time.

Couple of late records: grasshopper warbler singing at Newport golf course last Sunday (21st) and a whitethroat there on Wednesday 17th.

As a postscript, a pure white bird flashed past my windscreen between Blaenwaen and Meidrim on Tuesday morning - only thing that came straight into my head was 'a swallow'.  I know Ian Bullock saw a white one over Ramsey a few years ago.  Anyway, just in case someone else sees similar...
