At Garron Pil this morning 2 Greenshank, 22 Redshank, 12 Dunlin, 1 Little Egret, 60 or so Teal, 6 Shelduck and just 2 Wigeon. In Lawrenny Village a Blackcap.
In St Florence 3 Chiffchaffs feeding by the Ritec - there have been 2 in the same spot for over a week. Whilst trying to photograph a Goldcrest (blimey they're quick!) a Blackcap flew down to the stream to drink but then kept in cover. A Comma butterfly warmed itself in the sun out of the biting wind.
