Brief visits to Deer Park and Marloes Mere, either side of lunch at the Clock Tower Café.
Deer Park - 2 grasshopper warblers and 2 whitethroats singing, wheatears and willow warblers on the move along the coast path behind Rath Cottage.
Marloes Mere - I counted 25 white wagtails in the field by the barbed wire gate. A couple leaning on the gate complained they had never seen the ibis, in spite of several visits. Just after they left, the ibis appeared and did some crazy stunt flying over the water amongst a cloud of swallows, before diving back into the rushes, just like the ice-skating pandas in the Kit Kat advertisement, thus proving it has a sense of humour. 2 sedge warblers were singing along the lane.
Lots of hirundines over the peninsula.
