Martin's Haven and around

At least 3 Chiffchaffs in the garden all day, and the first Blackcap of the year. Stonechats displaying on what sometimes seems like every available patch of gorse and bush, and regular Wheatears on the Deer Park wall and passing through. But, just to emphasise how special today has felt with all this sun, I flushed a Snipe from the stream.

I found the Ring Ouzel on Dale airfield at the very far end of the runway, some 500m beyond the Hookses, but could not find the Golden Plovers.

On the Gann a solitary Black-tailed Godwit.

At Goultrop a Red-throated Diver coming into summer plumage.
