Highlights of an afternoon visit was 6 Arctic Terns feeding in the bay along with 6 Sandwich Terns (thanks to Karen and Janet for the shout on these). Also a singing male Cuckoo in scrub on the north side of the estuary, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Whimbrels, 2 Curlews, 1 Sanderling and 5 Redshanks. Earlier at Pengelli many of us enjoyed a cracking view of a singing male Redstart near the entrance.
